Prayers and Justice Activities

Our New Christian Value is Justice

Dear Year 1,

First of all Mrs Campbell, Mrs Bassett and Mrs Evans would like to say a big hello! We are missing you lots! As you learn from home, please know that we are still with you every step of the way. You have the ability to do any kind of work, whatever it is, easy or tough. So be confident, work hard and most importantly...enjoy yourself! We will be watching from afar and have enjoyed seeing your posts on Seesaw! We check them regularly throughout the day.

This is a very unusual time and we know it can sometimes feel a bit worrying. Just because you are learning from home for now, it doesn't need to be stressful. Stay in touch with each other, learn together, video call each other, share your ideas and pieces of work with each other! We are all in this together! Connecting with your classmates is just as important as sitting at a desk and doing your work. Have fun with your learning. Try something new that you've always wanted to try... learn a language, dance, make music, paint, take up photography in your garden! Do what inspires you, you are all amazing children!

We will be setting daily tasks on Seesaw. These will be based around our current topic - Scrumptious. We'd like to showcase some of your work on here and on Twitter for all to see from time to time, so keep checking back.  If you haven't logged on to Seesaw yet, don't worry, it's really easy. All you need is the code from your homework book. This will take you to our class account. You can see the set tasks and read any announcements that we have made. We're really interested to see anything that you would like to post. If you need to contact us, you can send us questions or videos via Seesaw and we will do our best to answer them.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Happy learning!

Mrs Campbell, Mrs Bassett and Mrs Evans

Dosbarth Aderyn Celebrations of Home School Learning Spring Term

Spring Term

Croeso, welcome to our Year One page! We would like to welcome back Mrs Bassett from her maternity leave and know the children will have great fun and lots of authentic learning in her lessons. We have lots of fun things planned for Spring Term all based around our theme 'Scrumptious'. In Literacy we will be reading the book 'The Disgusting Sandwich' and be basing all our activities around this, so the children will finally be making their disgusting sandwiches and writing instructions on how to do this. Watch this space for lots of updates and fun pictures on what we are getting upto!

Autumn Term

Croeso! Welcome to Year 1! Mrs Campbell, Mrs Evans and Mrs Rouse would like to welcome our families to Year One.    Our Teaching Assistant this year is Mrs Jones.  Mrs Bassett will be still on her maternity leave after having her beautiful baby, but will be returning back to school close to Christmas.

We are excited to be working alongside the children and have lots of fun activities planned!   PE will be on Tuesdays (indoors) and Thursdays (outdoors), please ensure your children have PE kit with suitable footwear.
