Summer is officially here (1st June), even though we have amazing weather up to now. As a school, we have signed up with Wildlife Trust to encourage exploring the outdoors. Being outdoors is great for our wellbeing and whilst we are off with our family, why not get outside? Click on the link below and download the activities that are available. You may want to do the 'Random Acts of Wildness', the Wildlife Bingo or the Nature Table, it is your choice. Enjoy! 

With the current Coronavirus escalating and pupils being home schooled for the time being, we have a list of website links  and apps to share with you. These are in addition to the home school pack and that the class teachers have given and will continue to give over the next few weeks. 

 

 

 

 

 

  • funbrain.com A website with stories to read and games to play. You can browse by age level and click on a book to read online.
  • Activity Village A website with activities including colouring in pages, origami, recipe ideas and doodle books. This website will give you a thousands of ideas to keep the children busy.
  • Mrs Pancake A collection of delightful activities and step by step instructions for fantastic origami models including a brilliant section on paper planes.
  • kiddle.co Kiddle is a child friendly search engine by Google. A great place to find out about particular topics whilst staying safe online.
  • natgeokids.com National Geographic for kids has some stunning images and interactive games and colouring books. A lovely site for children to learn about animals, wildlife and the world around them.
  • nasa Fun facts, games and animations all about space.
  • code There are courses and games for learning how to code on this great website. All courses are free of charge and have a really good range of levels.
  • family maths toolkit Advice and activities on how to help your child with maths at home. Some lovely activities which mean the children might not even realise they are practicing their maths skills.
  • primary homework help This is a wonderful primary school website which has games and information on a range of subjects.
  • bbc teach A collection of resources to support learning in all areas of the curriculum.
  • wow science Quite a few ideas for free activities which the children could access at home. Use the 'Activities' section to find the best activities for home learning.
  • Yoga Fantastic fun yoga stories for children that will keep them entertained when they need down time!
  • Supermovers Get your children moving whilst learning. Practise English, Maths PSHE and more and be active at the same time!
